Nicole & Neeraj | Crystal Tearoom In Philadelphia

Urban meets Fusion Multicultural Wedding. Celebrating our great melting pot!

The Details

The best way to describe the urban Indian fusion wedding of Nicole & Neeraj at The Crystal Tea Room in Philidelphia is BIG, FUN & FULL OF LOVE! Our bride, Nicole, always wanted a big family, and when she said YES, her wish came true with Neeraj’s extensive, global, Indian family.

And It’s evident in the show-stopping photography by We Laugh We Love, that every detail was designed to share their own joy with each and every person in their tribe! Kicking off the event with a baraat, a traditional Indian wedding party procession, with a twist that included a Philly brass band!  This is what really made the wedding so memorable for everyone, from the invitations to the send-off!  It was clear they were on a mission to take on designing their own traditions that involved urban culture, community, and personal style.

Our Interview

We are so excited that Nicole & Neeraj allowed us to share their images and we were honored to be a part of the big day! We caught up with our bride, Nicole to uncover the secrets of this beautiful affair and the invitations that drew everyone to the event!

L: I really loved your wedding invitation color palette. Did you have an inspiration?

Nicole: We decided on mint and gold (with some light pink mixed in) because we wanted a Spring palette that went nicely with the ballroom for our reception. It has a lot of dark wood and gold, so we wanted to lighten it up a bit.

L: You got the big family you always wanted :). Did you find this to be challenging when organizing the event, guest list, etc? How did you overcome it?

Nicole: At first I was a bit overwhelmed with the guest list, but my husband contributed a lot to the planning, which helped overcome the sheer size of the celebration!

L: How did you find us?

Nicole: Via wedding forums regarding Indian inspired invitations.

In the words of the bride:

“We loved our invitations so much!  The designs are incredible. We wanted something elegant with an Indian flair that matched our Indian fusion wedding. We customized our invitations with mint and gold (with some light pink mixed in) because we wanted a Spring palette that went nicely with the ballroom for our reception. We received tons of compliments on them!”
